Panther, the Ecologically Sensitive Contractor!

Turtle

Work is currently progressing nicely at a lake dredging project in Cinnaminson, New Jersey. The Panther crew first battled ice and then high water associated with recent heavy rains. Despite these obstacles, the project is on schedule and local officials and residents are very happy. Recently, a local environmentalist known as the Turtle Lady, made an unannounced visit to the site to audit Panther's efforts. She was concerned with how the hibernating wildlife that are impacted by the dredging project were being handled. On observing our crew actively gathering fish and turtles they could get out of harm’s way, she was happy to provide them with nets to facilitate their rescue activities and worked side by side with Panther's crew to assure that local wildlife were relocated prior to dredging activities. The project is expected to be completed by the end of February, and per the Turtle Lady in a newsletter to the community "the effects and damage to local wildlife is being kept to a minimum due to the diligence and professionalism of the people doing the work." The Burlington County Soil Conservation district also visited the site recently and commended our crews for the quality of their work and for correctly implementing the required soil erosion and control measures.
