PCB Remediation Project   Location: South Amboy, New Jersey         Value: $ 400,000.00     Panther was contracted to provide the project management, labor and equipment necessary to complete a turn-key site remediation of a DC electrical substation and railroad-switching yard. The project included the decontamination and demolition of an existing substation facility; excavation, transportation and disposal of approximately 500 tons of PCB and lead-contaminated soils; removal and decontamination of over 20,000 linear feet of PCB contaminated rail, closure of an underground storage tank; and final site restoration. Site activities also included the removal of PCB contaminated ballast and ties, which were staged and subsequently disposed off-site at a Subtitle C permitted facility.
