Site Manager to perform post-closure equipment decontamination, tank cleaning and dismantling services on over $50MM of highly sensitive gallium arsenide semiconductor manufacturing equipment at Litton Industries, Airtron Division located in Morris Plains, New Jersey.
Site Manager for a $550,000 turnkey decommissioning of a former sulfuric acid manufacturing plant located in Front Royal, Virginia. The project included site wide asbestos abatement project including over 5,000 linear feet of piping and 22,000 square feet of asbestos siding, flooring, and insulation. The closure included fifty-five (55) process vessels and tanks, miles of piping, 110,000 square feet of site buildings and structures, towers and railcars, and rail car loading and unloading stations.
Site Manager for decontamination and demolition services at Ecolab Inc.'s (Ecolab's) Woodbridge, NJ production facility. The project included tanks, process vessels and lines; utility removal, process area decontamination (floors and walls), sump, trench and sewer cleanouts, equipment decontamination, equipment and structural demolition and rigging activities in addition to coordinating activities with remaining facility warehousing operations
Site Manager for the installation of several remediation systems at large scale refineries including the Sun Oil Refinery located in Marcus Hook, PA. The systems recovered lube oils, gasoline, and fuel oil that had been released to groundwater by numerous on-site sources including tanks, piping and process equipment. Remediation systems included interception trench systems; top loading total fluids and dual pump ground-water depression systems; two-phase hi-vacuum extraction and passive solar systems. Product recovery rates from a single dual pump ground-water depression system had a recovery rate of lube oil which exceeded 6,000 gallons per week for several months of operation.
Site Manager in charge of a mechanical upgrade to an existing leachate recovery system for a Confidential Superfund Site located in Carlstadt, New Jersey. As part of the leachate system upgrade, installed several hundred feet of double walled polypropylene and PVC piping as part of the facility upgrade. Oversaw electrical system upgrades including controls, heat tracing and conductor runs to various pieces of an existing treatment system.
Task Manager for a $250K environmental controls project for Bayer Corporation. The project included a variety of components including the locating and rerouting of several hundred feet of 8" underground piping, installation of new 24" concrete pipe and culverts, sump relining services using an epoxy based coating, as well as the removal and installation of a new 1,000 gallon sump. The project was field managed through careful communication and execution, ultimately saved Bayer approximately $200K through effective implementation of value engineered approaches developed by Panther's project manager.
Task Manager for the closure of an esters production facility located in Carteret, New Jersey. Responsibilities included reviewing existing process systems, assistance in the development of a safe and efficient cleaning and dismantling operation for the closure of over 100 process vessels, 18,000 linear feet of piping, 3,000 linear feet of duct work and the washing of over 180,000 square feet of walls, floors, sumps, trenches, dikes, and incidental equipment. Worked closely with Panther's project manager to coordinate the packaging, transportation and disposal of 75,000 gallon of product/waste, 1,500 drums of various materials/waste and twenty four (24) roll offs of discarded process system, solids and debris. Also oversaw over 250 confined space entries at this site by Panther personnel.
Site Manager for the decontamination and dismantlement of 10,000 linear feet of a light-rail system contaminated with PCBs for a New Jersey mass transit agency. The project included establishing a decontamination area, staging and washing of the rail system (included light cantilevers, spikes, plates, abutments, rail, etc), loading, transportation and off-site recycling of the entire system. Project was completed in an under utilized turnaround station which encompassed approximately 12 acres.
Assistant Site Manager for the mass, but surgical, excavation of 12,000 tons of metals and volatiles impacted soil from a five (5) acre site located in Union Township, New Jersey. The project involved establishing an simple grade control program, excavation of an eighteen (18) inch cut, relocation and staging of all soils to an a soil staging impoundment constructed by Panther. All waste was staged and secured with 10 mil plastic sheeting for reuse a cover material at a local landfill, which required NJDEP sampling plan submission, approval, testing, characterization and acceptance at the final disposal outlet.
Site Manager in charge of a Brownfield redevelopment project involving the decontamination and demolition of an old knitting mill, reused for commercial use. Activities performed included demolition of masonry walls and process systems; installation and construction of 10,000 square feet of new office space, including installation of mechanical pipe systems for potable water and wastewater operations associated with the new space. Performed this work over a three-month period during the fourth quarter 2000.
Co-Site Manager for a $2.5M decontamination and demolition project in Barrington, New Jersey, which included the decontamination and demolition of over 1,000,000 square feet of warehouse space including various concrete pads, loading docks and the cleanup of lead contaminated debris. Over 5,000 tons of materials were disposed off-site as part of this project. Also responsible for pumping and conveyance of decontamination fluids about the site via mechanical pipe systems and storage tanks.
